Installation Guide

This guide covers Local Lead Finder. The extension is installed in Chrome developer mode.

1. Download and extract

  1. Download the extension ZIP file from Finnzon.
  2. Extract the ZIP to a permanent folder (not your Downloads folder, as files may disappear).
  3. Make sure you can see the manifest.json file inside the folder.

2. Install in Chrome

  1. Type chrome://extensions in the address bar and press Enter.
  2. Toggle Developer mode on in the top right corner.
  3. Click Load unpacked in the top left corner.
  4. Select the extracted extension folder and click OK.

3. Activation and setup

  • Open the extension and add your Apify API key in the settings.
  • To upgrade to the paid version, click the Upgrade button in the extension.

Tip: The extension will notify you automatically when a new version is available.

4. Updating to a new version

  1. Download the latest ZIP and replace the files in your extracted folder.
  2. Go to chrome://extensions.
  3. Click Reload on the extension card.

Troubleshooting

  • If Chrome says "Manifest file is missing", you selected the wrong folder — choose the one that contains manifest.json.
  • If license verification fails, check your internet connection and click Refresh in the extension.
  • If the extension disappears after restarting Chrome, move the extracted folder to a permanent location (e.g. Documents folder).
